Not that I couldn't be competitive on lesser equipment, but it would be just one more thing that I would need to overcome to get to the front. Since IвЂ™m trying to be competitive at the top level, the rig I am putting together is going to be pretty top-shelf.

That's all to say I'm not a complete noob at this, but I still will be starting at the bottom, facing a very long climb to the top. Finally, I assisted the engineers from Forza with scanning both my BTCC car as well as my Pikes Peak TT RS. I also spent a lot of hours driving the virtual prototype Nurburgring Circuit while it was under development.ДЄdditionally, I worked with Base Performance in the UK (owned by Aston Martin works driver Darren Turner) to develop a model of my Audi S3 British Touring Car for their sim (which also helped me learn some of the UK circuits I had never driven before). So I took a few iRacing engineers around the track and pointed out all of the really important reference points I learned from the locals while racing the VLN and the 24 Hours of NГјrburgring. I was living at the вЂRing at the time and was extremely experienced with the nuances of that circuit. I helped the folks at iRacing (which is currently regarded as the top racing simulation platform on the market) when they were developing their NГјrburgring sim a few years back. Now like I said, this isnвЂ™t exactly my first rodeo with sim racing. This isnвЂ™t your and your college roommate getting drunk and playing Gran Turismo. In fact, the best-placed real-world pro driver in the all-star race was Rosenqvist, and he finished down in seventh. They've gotten quite good at it as a result. A lot of these so-called вЂњgamersвЂќ are pros in their own right and have been doing this for years. HereвЂ™s what IвЂ™m doing, and what you can do too.ДЄfter watching that event, I am under no illusions how difficult this is going to be. I was honored to be asked but unfortunately, I had to turn it down because even though IвЂ™ve done sim racing in the past, I didnвЂ™t have a rig built up enough to really compete.

One of the things that kicked this off for me was that I was invited to compete in The Race's All-Star Esports Battle against drivers such as Max Verstappen, Will Power, Simon Pagenaud, Juan Pablo Montoya, Nelson Piquet Jr., Neel Jani, Colton Herta, and Felix Rosenqvist. But right now the real world is going to hell, and the virtual world looks like it could be the place to be. This is the reverse of what you normally see-sim racers trying to make the move into real-world racing.

A huge cohort of real-world pros are now fully onboard with sim racing. It appears that IвЂ™m not alone, either, judging by the popularity of this past weekendвЂ™s iRacing NASCAR race (which was broadcast nationally on Fox Sports 1) and IMSAвЂ™s Sebring race.

Hopefully when one of the two juniors graduate then my last student will be able to claim one of their doors and finally have her own room.IвЂ™ll be looking to compete in several iRacing Road Race series and the more mainstream Forza Motorsport series as well. I just hope I don't have a problem when it comes time for everyone to graduate. Is there a way to force that guy out? The funny thing is that one of my other students has become obsessed with this student that won't move out! The two of them are constantly hanging out, having a pillow fight, or in the hot tub. She can do everything but choose a dorm room. She goes to class, is in her third semester and was able to choose a major. The last sim I moved in doesn't seem to be having any problems though.

Well he never gathers his things instead a lot of times he'll lock his door! Every time I play that dorm I get the message about having too many sims in the dorm and not to worry because the nonplayer sim will gather his things and move out. I had to double up on the beds and put two cousins in the same room. I'm playing in one of the six room dorms and currently I have 6 player sims and one nonplayer sim living there. My last nonplayer sim refuses to move out of the dorm. Can't get nonplayer sim to move out of dorm
